Write off: One day

Yeah.
This day is off to a fucking fantastic start.
-Get to work, and the computer network crashes. Right at the start of the day. When we're busy because of a sale that starts today. That's ok. It's not like I have any fucking work to do anyways...
Things are back up and running, now. Thankfully.

-My main source of caffeine (Tim Horton's tea) has gone down hill. How fucking hard is it to make a cup of tea? It's not rocket surgery, people! You put ONE cream into the paper cup, then put ONE tea bag in, and then add the hot water. Simple, no?
Forget this "steeped tea" shit. It tastes like rancid horse piss. And put just ONE bag in the cup. Not two... ONE. I want tea, not some kind of acid solution that can eat through titanium.

I think I need to go back to bed. For a week.

Remember.

THE ULTIMATE SILENCE
October 12, 1998

Listen to the mustn'ts, child.
Listen to the don'ts.
Listen to the shouldn'ts,
The impossibles, the won'ts.
Listen to the never haves,
Then listen close to me ...
Anything can happen, child.
Anything can be.

~ Shel Silverstein

Six years ago today, Matthew Shepard was murdered for being homosexual.

What will you do to end the silence?

National Coming Out Day

Today is "National Coming Out Day".

While this day is aimed at the queer segment of the population (or the supporters of same), it's really for anybody.

One of the things that many people in this world like to do is attach shame or guilt to our differences. An online friend had to come out of the closet to her family at one point. Not as GLBT, but because her choice of religion was Wicca. A religion that her family thought was evil/wrong.

IMHO, the best way that we can deflate all these people is to share and be open about those things that make each one of us special and unique. Be proud of who we are. Rejoice in our differences! Celebrate our lives!

please note that the link above may be a tad flaky.

An actual update!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Enjoy your turkey dinners.
If travel is part of your plans today, then have a safe journey.

Also, I would like to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" to a couple of people. Today is Ian's and Karin's birthdays!
I hope you both had wonderful days, and may you have MANY more!

That's all from me today. Hopefully it won't take another two weeks for my next update. ;-)
