Best advice column response EVER
DEAR AMY:
My boyfriend went out with the “guys” last night. We sent text messages until about 1 a.m. Actually, I was texting him. Then I tried to call him for more than an hour. He never responded.
When I was first calling him, it would ring, then go to voice mail, but after a while it went straight to voice mail.
He does have a history of cheating on girlfriends. I know that he is going to tell me that his phone battery died and that he had no way to contact me. Normally when his battery is dying, he will tell me.
With his history and the fact that I believe he turned his phone off, I’m wondering what I should do.
I understand that he wants time with his friends, but he was supposed to call me when he got home last night.
Should I be worried that he is cheating? We have talked before about his being out with his friends, texting me and then disappearing.
I love him very much, but is this normal? Am I being paranoid?

DEAR HURT:
Just reading your letter makes me want to throw my cell phone into Lake Michigan and break up with you, and I don’t even know you.

I agree. She's just a touch overboard.
