Lunch AND a show for only $18?
As mentioned in my previous post, I have a new boss. She moved here from Brandon, Manitoba. As such, she's used to small-ish town foods.
Today I introduced her to sushi. I got assorted tempura, some rolls, and some salmon & tuna sushi. Yummers.
She liked the tempura and salmon & tuna sushi pieces (because they were "just rice and thick pieces of fish").
Then she tried the rolls. First up... California rolls. She liked them except for the avacodo. No worries there.
Lastly, we had the salmon, tuna, and cucumber rolls (the small ones, about the size of a quarter). The first one she tried was cucumber. Picture a kid having cough syrup. Pretty much that. It was the seaweed that she couldn't handle. So, she tried another roll, except that she tried peeling off the seaweed. Didn't work so well.
Add to that the fact that she had NEVER used chop sticks before, and it made for an amusing lunch.
